I wasn't sure what to expect in Wilson North Carolina when I rolled into a Japanese fusion restaurant. The prices here are very low for this type of food. I certainly did not expect much.I do have to say for the record that this is the best Japanese Hibachi that I have ever eaten at. I was greeted promptly when I came in the door and the staff was VERY warm. She took the time to answer all my questions about the menu, and made sure I was happy with my decision when she placed my order. She offered me a sample of both sauces that they make here. I know that they must make them here because they taste fresh and DIFFERENT from all the others that I have had. I ordered the lo mein with steak. It was delicious. The lo mein was cooked properly and the steak was firm and flavorful. You could tell that it was roasted nicely an added to all the other fresh ingredients. The broccoli, carrots and mushrooms were freshly steamed and chopped today. Nothing came out of a can or a package. The order arrived very very fast and I can't say anything bad about it. I personally did not need the extra sauces because the lo mein had a wonderful flavor to it. I did taste the sauces but as prepared I was happy. I will be returning for the calamari -which I'm told they were out of, meaning things are ordered fresh!
Heard this place was on point and I gave it a try. Called in my order and was in the restaurant less than a minute. Took my food home and I was impressed. I ordered the spicy steak and shrimp and it was delicious!
Got invited to Isahana by a friend. It did not disappoint. It's located in downtown Wilson on Tarboro St. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The young girl at the counter was friendly.
